Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, how P2PTELLER Technology ("P2PTELLER", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use 7Might — our social and peer-to-peer marketplace application — together with our websites and related services (collectively, the "Services"). 7Might lets you build a profile, post photos, videos, and audio to a newsfeed, message other users with text and voice notes, list and browse products, and share your location so that goods can be delivered to and from you. Because these features rely on your camera, photo and video library, microphone, and location, this Policy explains those permissions in detail below. By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you agree to the practices described here; if you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us directly, information we collect automatically as you use 7Might, and information other users provide when it relates to you (for example, when someone messages you, tags you, or reviews an item you sold).

1.1 Account and Profile Information

When you register for 7Might, we collect the information needed to create and secure your account, such as your full name or display name, phone number and/or email address, date of birth, password (stored in encrypted/hashed form), username, and general location (such as your city or neighbourhood) if you add one to your profile.

  • Profile photo and optional cover photo
  • Short biography, business or shop name (for sellers), and category of goods offered
  • Verification information, such as a one-time passcode sent by SMS, if we offer identity or phone verification

1.2 Photos, Videos, and Audio You Upload or Capture

Content creation and sharing is central to 7Might, so we collect the media you choose to add to the app, including:

  • Profile pictures and cover photos
  • Photos and videos of products you are listing for sale, including multiple images per listing, short product demo videos, and captions or descriptions you write
  • Photos and videos you attach to newsfeed posts, comments, and stories
  • Voice notes and other audio recordings you send in one-to-one or group messages
  • Any text, emoji, or captions you attach to the above

1.3 Camera, Photo Library, and Video Permissions

To let you take a photo or record a video directly inside 7Might — for a profile picture, a product listing, or a newsfeed post — the app requests access to your device camera (Android permission CAMERA) at the moment you tap the camera button, not before. To let you choose an existing photo or video instead of capturing a new one, the app requests access to your media library (Android permissions such as READ_MEDIA_IMAGES and READ_MEDIA_VIDEO on Android 13 and later, or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on earlier versions).

We only read and upload the specific photo or video you actively select or capture; 7Might does not scan, index, or upload your entire camera roll in the background. Images and videos may contain embedded metadata (such as the date, time, and device model, and sometimes GPS coordinates if your camera app embeds them); we use this metadata to correctly display and orient your media and, where relevant, may strip precise GPS coordinates from images before they are shown publicly.

You can allow, deny, or later revoke camera and media permissions at any time from your device settings (Settings → Apps → 7Might → Permissions). If you deny or revoke a permission, the specific feature that depends on it (for example, taking a new photo) will be unavailable, but the rest of the app will continue to work.

1.4 Microphone and Audio Messages

7Might requests access to your device microphone (Android permission RECORD_AUDIO) so you can record and send voice messages in chat and add sound to videos you capture in the app. The microphone is only activated when you press and hold (or tap) the record control inside the app; 7Might does not record audio in the background or without a clear, visible recording indicator on screen.

Voice messages are uploaded and stored so they can be delivered to and replayed by the recipient(s) of the conversation. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device settings, which will disable voice-message recording and video sound capture but not the rest of the messaging feature.

1.5 Location Information

Location sharing helps buyers and sellers coordinate the delivery or pickup of goods, helps us show you listings and delivery partners nearby, and helps estimate distance and delivery time. 7Might requests location permission (Android permissions ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION and ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, and ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION only where a feature such as live order tracking requires it and only after a separate, explicit prompt).

Depending on the Android version and the choice you make when prompted, you may grant precise location, approximate location, access only while using the app, or a one-time grant for a single session. During an active delivery or order, you can choose to share your live or approximate location with the specific buyer, seller, or delivery partner involved in that transaction; this sharing is limited to that transaction and to the counterparties you choose, and it stops automatically once the order is marked complete, once you end sharing manually, or after a limited time window, whichever happens first.

You can turn location access off at any time in your device settings. Doing so will limit delivery-coordination and "nearby listings" features but will not prevent you from using the rest of 7Might.

1.6 Messages and Communications

We store the text, photos, videos, audio messages, and other content you send through 7Might's messaging feature so that it can be delivered, displayed, and, if the sender allows, retained for the conversation history. We also collect metadata about your communications, such as timestamps, delivery and read status, and the participants in a conversation, but we do not read the content of your private messages except where necessary for safety and abuse investigations, automated content-safety scanning described in Section 3, or as required by law.

1.7 Marketplace and Transaction Information

If you list, buy, sell, or arrange delivery of goods through 7Might, we collect the details of that activity, such as listing information, order and delivery status, buyer/seller messages related to the order, ratings and reviews, and, where an in-app or partner payment feature is used, transaction records (amount, date, and payment method type). Where payments are processed by a third-party payment provider or mobile-money operator, that provider collects and processes your full payment details under its own privacy policy; 7Might does not store full card numbers or mobile-money PINs.

1.8 Device and Usage Information

We automatically collect technical information such as your device model and operating system version, app version, unique device and advertising identifiers, IP address and approximate location derived from it, network type, crash reports and diagnostic logs, and usage data such as the features you use, posts you view, and time spent in the app. We use this information to keep the Services running reliably, to diagnose and fix problems, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to understand how 7Might is used so we can improve it.

1.9 Information From Other Users and Third Parties

Other users may provide information about you, for example by mentioning or tagging you in a post, messaging you, reviewing a transaction with you, or reporting content to us. If you choose to sync your device contacts to find friends, we process the contact details you share for that purpose only and in line with any consent you give at that time.

1.10 Cookies and Similar Technologies (Website)

Our website at p2pteller.com and 7might.app uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your language preference, keep you signed in, and understand aggregate traffic through analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some website features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Create, maintain, and secure your account, and verify your identity
  • Provide core features: publishing posts, photos, videos, and audio; messaging; product listings; the newsfeed; and search
  • Match buyers with nearby sellers and delivery partners and coordinate delivery using location data
  • Personalise your newsfeed, search results, and product recommendations
  • Process transactions and communicate order and delivery updates
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, impersonation, spam, and other abuse
  • Automatically and, where necessary, manually review uploaded photos, videos, audio, and text for content that violates our Community Guidelines or the Terms of Service (for example, nudity, violence, or prohibited items)
  • Send you service messages, security alerts, order updates, and, where you have not opted out, product news and marketing
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests
  • Analyse aggregated and de-identified usage trends to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve 7Might, including training and evaluating features such as content moderation and recommendation systems
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service and policies

3. Content Moderation and Automated Scanning

To keep 7Might safe, uploaded photos, videos, audio, and text may be processed by automated systems that check for content that violates our Community Guidelines, such as child sexual abuse material, graphic violence, or prohibited or counterfeit items, before or after the content is published. Where automated systems flag content, a trained member of our safety team may review it. We report unlawful content, including any suspected child exploitation material, to the appropriate authorities as required by law.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable data protection law requires it (for example, for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions), we process personal information on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (providing the Services you sign up for); your consent (for example, when you grant camera, microphone, or location permissions, or opt in to marketing); our legitimate interests (such as keeping the Services secure, preventing fraud, and improving our features), balanced against your rights; and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for money. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With other users, to the extent needed for the Services to work — for example, your profile photo, username, bio, public posts, and product listings are visible to other users or the public, and, during an active order, your shared location, name, and contact details are visible to the specific buyer, seller, or delivery partner involved in that order
  • With service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, such as cloud hosting and storage providers (for photos, videos, and audio files), content delivery networks, push-notification providers, SMS/OTP and verification providers, mapping and geolocation providers, payment processors and mobile-money operators, customer-support tooling, and analytics and crash-reporting providers
  • For legal reasons, such as to comply with a valid legal request, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights, property, or safety of P2PTELLER, our users, or the public
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of some or all of our assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction
  • As aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, for example in reports about usage trends
  • With your consent, in any other circumstance not described above

6. Public Visibility of Your Content

Some information is, by design, visible to other users or the public: your profile photo, cover photo, bio, username, public newsfeed posts and comments, and active product listings. Direct messages, voice notes sent in a private conversation, and precise live delivery location are visible only to the intended recipient(s) of that conversation or transaction. We cannot control or prevent other users from viewing, screenshotting, downloading, or otherwise copying content you have shared with them, so please consider what you share and with whom before you post it.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to allow you to reactivate it, resolve disputes, comply with legal or tax obligations, and prevent fraud. Photos, videos, and audio you delete are removed from active display and, in the ordinary course, purged from our production systems within 30 days, although copies may persist for a limited time in backups, or longer where content is subject to a legal hold or an active safety investigation. Messages you delete are removed from your own view; a recipient may already have viewed, saved, or forwarded the content before deletion, which is outside our control.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest for stored media and messages, access controls and authentication for our systems, and regular security testing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

7Might is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or a higher minimum age where required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of this Policy, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 15.

10. International Data Transfers

We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own, including countries that may have different data protection laws. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms, to protect it consistently with this Policy.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information. To exercise any of them, contact us using the details in Section 15; we may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information, most of which you can edit directly in your profile settings
  • Delete your account and associated personal information, subject to the retention exceptions described in Section 7
  • Withdraw consent at any time for camera, microphone, location, contact-sync, or marketing permissions, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal
  • Object to or request that we restrict certain processing, such as processing based on legitimate interests
  • Request a portable copy of certain information you provided to us
  • Opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe link or in-app notification settings
  • If you are a California resident, exercise rights available under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" as those terms are defined by law (we do not sell personal information for money)
  • If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a similar jurisdiction, lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

12. Managing App Permissions

You are always in control of the camera, photo/video library, microphone, and location permissions described in Section 1. You can review and change them at any time from your device's Settings app under Apps (or Application Manager) → 7Might → Permissions, or from the permission prompt itself when 7Might first requests access. Turning a permission off will disable only the feature that depends on it.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

7Might and our website may contain links to third-party websites, payment providers, or services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with information.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our Services or legal requirements. We will post the updated Policy on this page, update the "Last updated" date above, and, for material changes, provide additional notice such as an in-app message or email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

15. Contact Us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal information, please contact us at privacy@p2pteller.com, or write to hello@p2pteller.com or our office at P2PTELLER Technology, NO. 12, IRANA STREET, OKEALAAFIA, ADO-EKITI, EKITI STATE, NIGERIA.
